FAO and Russia

On February, 18, 2006 the President of the Russian Federation Putin V.V. has signed the Federal Law «On the adoption of the Constitution of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations by the Russian Federation”. After the legalization of a full authority membership in the FAO Russia shall be given the opportunity of receiving expert consultations, training agricultural, forestry and fishery specialists, using database, using the information and recommendations on product storage, processing and marketing, largely participating in water, agricultural and fishery projects, participating in the elaboration of international documents on food safety issues etc.
